Supporting Our Community

At Columbia Falls Estate Planning, community isn’t just where we work—it’s at the heart of everything we do. Attorney Denise Romer and our team are proud to support local organizations that make the Flathead Valley a better place to live, work, and play. From youth programs and animal welfare to community events and athletic scholarships, we believe in giving back through leadership, volunteer work, sponsorships, and hands-on involvement. Below, you can learn more about the causes and organizations we partner with, the impact they have on our community, and how you can join us in supporting their important missions.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Glacier Country

Denise Romer proudly supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Glacier Country, an organization dedicated to empowering local youth to reach their full potential. Serving children and teens across the Flathead Valley—especially those who need support the most—the club provides a safe, positive, and engaging environment after school and during the summer.

Through programs focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and leadership development, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Glacier Country equip young people with the skills and confidence to build bright futures. From homework help and sports to arts and leadership activities, the club offers opportunities that inspire growth, learning, and community connection.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the club relies on the generosity of donors, volunteers, and sponsors to continue serving the growing number of youth in need. You can join Denise in supporting their mission by making a donation, volunteering your time, or participating in fundraising efforts such as the Great Fish Community Challenge. Every contribution helps create a safe and inspiring space for the next generation.

Columbia Falls Community Market

Denise Romer is a proud sponsor of the Columbia Falls Community Market, a vibrant weekly event that brings together farmers, food producers, artists, and craftsmen from across the Flathead Valley. Held every Thursday evening from May through September, the market offers a welcoming space for locals and visitors to connect, shop, and enjoy live music, food, and community spirit.

More than just a marketplace, the Columbia Falls Community Market supports local businesses, promotes civic engagement, and provides a safe, open-air venue where people can gather and celebrate the best of Montana’s creativity and agriculture. With its food court, live entertainment, and unique vendor offerings, the market has become a beloved summer tradition.

You can support the market by shopping local, becoming a vendor, sponsoring an event, or making a donation to help sustain this important community gathering. Thank you for supporting our community! The Columbia Falls Community Market is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) and relies on its gracious donors and sponsors to make the market come to life. Every contribution helps ensure the market continues to be a place where neighbors connect and small businesses thrive.

Blades Athletic Scholarship Foundation

Denise Romer is proud to serve on the board of the Blades Athletic Scholarship Foundation, a Montana-based nonprofit dedicated to helping young athletes achieve their goals. Established in 2022 as an extension of BladesAPA, the foundation provides scholarships to student-athletes who need financial assistance to pursue their sports dreams.

Scholarship recipients are chosen through an application and essay process, ensuring that awards go to motivated athletes with a passion for growth and dedication to their sport. The foundation’s mission is simple but powerful: remove financial barriers so that talent, hard work, and determination—not resources—define an athlete’s future.

Columbia Falls Estate Planning is also a proud sponsor, supporting the foundation’s efforts to empower the next generation of players. The Blades Athletic Scholarship Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, relying on the generosity of donors and sponsors to make its mission possible. You can help by donating, becoming a sponsor, or attending fundraising events. Every contribution helps provide opportunities for local youth to compete, train, and succeed—on and off the field.

Hugh Rogers Whitefish Dog Park

Denise Romer proudly serves on the board of the Hugh Rogers Whitefish Dog Park, a 5-acre, community-supported park that provides a safe, fun, and scenic space for dogs and their owners to enjoy year-round. Consistently ranked among the top dog parks in the nation—including recognition by USA Today—the park features paved walking paths, agility equipment, a small dog area, a pond and dog beach, and even a dog wash station.

Operated by WAG, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the park relies entirely on donations and volunteer efforts to maintain and improve its facilities for Flathead Valley residents, visitors, and their canine companions. Current fundraising efforts are focused on revitalizing the park’s beloved pond, ensuring it remains a clean, safe play area for years to come.

You can join Denise in supporting the park by donating, volunteering, or participating in events like the annual Great Fish Community Challenge. Every contribution helps keep this award-winning dog park free, accessible, and thriving.

Intermountain Therapy Animals

Denise Romer and her canine companion, Amelia, are a certified therapy team with Intermountain Therapy Animals (ITA), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life through the human–animal bond. Founded in 1993, ITA trains and supports volunteer teams who bring comfort, companionship, and joy to people facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.

With over 300 therapy teams visiting more than 170 facilities, ITA serves communities in Utah, Montana, and beyond. Volunteers and their animals provide animal-assisted therapy and activities in hospitals, assisted living facilities, schools, libraries, and rehabilitation centers—helping to reduce stress, encourage healing, and lift spirits.

Denise and Amelia are proud to be part of this compassionate mission, visiting local hospice and assisted living patients to provide comfort and connection. You can support ITA by volunteering with your own animal, donating, or sponsoring programs like R.E.A.D.® (Reading Education Assistance Dogs), which helps children improve literacy skills through the encouragement of a friendly, nonjudgmental canine listener.

One such organization is the Humane Society of Northwest Montana, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the welfare and protection of animals in our region. Their mission focuses on providing shelter, medical care, and adoption services, while also supporting families through education and outreach programs.

We are proud to partner with and sponsor the Humane Society’s Nourishing Paws Pet Pantry, which provides free pet food and supplies to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. The goal is simple — to help pets remain in loving homes and out of shelters during difficult times.

Through the efforts of staff and volunteers, the Humane Society of Northwest Montana continues to strengthen our community by caring for animals and supporting the people who love them.
